Can students get a PPS number?
Yes. Both EU students and non-EU students on a Stamp 2 (student permission) can get a PPS number in Ireland. Your college or university acceptance letter is your main evidence of need.
Stamp 2 has work restrictionsNon-EU students on Stamp 2 can work up to 20 hours per week during term time and 40 hours per week during summer and Christmas holidays. Getting a PPS number doesn't change these limits — it just allows you to work legally within them.
