For Irish citizens
One of the following as primary identity
- Current Irish passport
- Irish passport card
- Irish driving licence (full or learner)
Plus proof of address
- Utility bill, bank statement, or official letter dated within 3 months
- Must show your current address in Ireland
If you do not have a passport or driving licence, a combination of secondary documents may be accepted โ call your Intreo centre to confirm before attending.
For EU / EEA citizens
Primary identity document
- Current passport from your home country
- National identity card issued by an EU/EEA member state (must be current)
Proof of address in Ireland
- Utility bill, bank statement, or official letter
- Must be dated within 3 months and show your Irish address
PPS number
- Your PPS number document or letter from Revenue/DSP confirming it
For non-EU citizens
Primary identity document
- Current passport from your home country
Immigration permission
- Current IRP card showing your stamp type
- Or other current immigration permission document
Proof of address in Ireland
- Utility bill, bank statement, lease agreement, or official letter
- Must show your current Irish address, dated within 3 months
PPS number
- Your PPS number document or Revenue letter confirming it
For Ukrainian nationals under Temporary Protection
Ukrainian nationals under Temporary Protection do not need an IRP card for the PSC appointment. Your Temporary Protection confirmation letter from the Department of Justice serves as immigration permission. Bring your Ukrainian passport (or other identity document if your passport is unavailable) plus the Temporary Protection letter and proof of your Irish address.
What if you do not have all the documents?
Call your local Intreo centre before attending. In some circumstances โ particularly for recent arrivals or people with housing instability โ alternatives may be accepted. Do not assume a refusal without checking first. DSP officers have some discretion in exceptional cases.
