Ukrainians under Temporary Protection are treated as habitually resident in Ireland and are entitled to access public health services. You do not need an IRP card.
Documents needed
Ukrainian passport or identity documentBring what you have. If you don't have a passport, other Ukrainian identity documents are accepted.
Temporary Protection confirmation letterYour letter from the Department of Justice confirming your Temporary Protection status in Ireland.
PPS numbersFor yourself and all children in your household.
Proof of addressLetter from host family, accommodation provider, or any official letter showing your Irish address.
Proof of incomeIf you're working: payslips. If you're receiving social welfare payments: DSP payment letter.
No income? You may still qualifyIf you have no income or are receiving the International Protection Accommodation Service (IPAS) payment, you are likely to qualify on income grounds. Apply and state your income as nil or the support payment amount.
