What is a verified MyGovID account?
MyGovID has two levels. A basic account uses your email and mobile number. A verified account uses your PSC to confirm your identity digitally. Verified accounts unlock the full range of Irish government online services.
How to verify your MyGovID using your PSC

Create or log into your MyGovID account
Go to mygovid.ie. If you do not have an account, create one using your email address. If you have a basic account, log in.

Select "Upgrade to verified account"
Find the option to verify your account. You will be asked to enter your PSC number and date of birth.

Enter your PSC number
The PSC number is printed on the front of your card. Enter it exactly as shown.

Verify with your mobile number
A verification code is sent to the mobile number registered with your PSC. Enter this code to complete verification.

Verification complete
Your MyGovID account is now verified. You can access Revenue MyAccount, Passport Online, DSP online services, and other government digital services.
Services you can access with a verified MyGovID
Passport Online, Revenue MyAccount, Department of Social Protection online services, NDLS (driving licence online), HSE online services, and a growing range of other public body services all require a verified MyGovID.
