Are Ukrainians eligible for a PSC?

Yes. Ukrainian nationals who have been granted Temporary Protection in Ireland are eligible for a PSC through the standard SAFE registration process at DSP Intreo offices.

You do not need an IRP card. Your Temporary Protection status, confirmed by a letter from the Department of Justice, serves as sufficient immigration permission for SAFE registration.

Documents required

Identity document

  • Ukrainian passport, or
  • Ukrainian national identity card, or
  • Other Ukrainian identity document if passport unavailable

Temporary Protection confirmation

  • Letter from the Department of Justice confirming your Temporary Protection status in Ireland

Proof of address in Ireland

  • Letter from your accommodation provider or host family, or
  • Any official letter showing your current Irish address

PPS number

  • Letter from DSP or Revenue confirming your PPS number
