The process

Processing times are longFamily reunification applications typically take 6โ€“12 months. Do not make irreversible plans โ€” resigning jobs abroad, children leaving school โ€” until you have received written approval from ISD.

What stamp type family members receive

Family members of Critical Skills permit holders typically receive Stamp 1G (work permission). Family members of Stamp 4 holders may initially receive Stamp 3 (no work rights), with the possibility of upgrading. The exact stamp depends on the sponsor's status and current ISD policy.
