What is HelpMyForm

HelpMyForm exists because Irish government forms and services are not designed to be understood on first contact. The language is technical, the processes are opaque, and the consequences of getting something wrong — a missed document, a wrong answer — can mean weeks of delays.

We built two things to fix that: a comprehensive library of free plain-language guides covering every major Irish form and service, and a scanner app that reads any form you photograph and explains every field in your language in seconds.

Everything is free. No account required. Nothing is stored.

Every major Irish form and service has a full cluster — a hub page plus detailed subpages covering eligibility, application, documents, common problems, and what to do when things go wrong.

The scanner

Open the app on your phone. Take a photo of any Irish government form — HAP, PPS, Medical Card, IRP, a letter from a landlord, a hospital notice, anything. Within seconds you receive a plain-language breakdown of every field: what it is asking, what to write, and an example where helpful.

You can also ask follow-up questions in your language if something is still unclear. The scanner works with any document in any format — not just the forms we have guides for.

No account is required. Nothing is stored. Your photo is analysed and immediately discarded.

HelpMyForm is an Irish product, built to solve an Irish problem. It is actively maintained and updated as forms change, new clusters are added, and language coverage expands.
